A Brix disposable is about as simple as vaping gets: no filling, no buttons, no settings. Still, a few habits make a big difference to flavor and battery life. Here is how to use your Brix vape properly and what to do if it stops working.
Before Your First Use
- Check the packaging is sealed and the device looks undamaged.
- Remove any silicone plugs or stickers from the mouthpiece and air intake.
- Give it a short charge with a USB-C cable. Devices can sit in storage for weeks, so a top-up means a stronger first session.
How to Take a Good Draw
Brixz High Rise devices are draw-activated: inhaling switches on the heating element. Take a slow, steady pull of three to four seconds, like sipping through a straw. Short, sharp puffs do not give the coil time to warm the oil evenly, and very long pulls can overheat it and taste burnt.
If you are new to hemp products, take one draw and wait at least 15 minutes before taking another. Effects vary widely between people and between blends; our Cannabinoid Guide explains the differences between D9P, THCA and HHC.
Charging and Battery Care
- Use a standard USB-C cable and a low-power USB port or plug. Avoid fast chargers.
- Recharge when the indicator blinks rather than running it completely flat.
- Unplug once it is full, and never charge it unattended overnight.
- The smart display on the High Rise shows battery and oil levels, so you can plan your next order.
Storage Tips
Store your device upright at room temperature. Heat thins the oil and can cause leaks; cold thickens it and can cause clogs. Never leave a vape in a hot car or in direct sunlight.
Troubleshooting: My Brix Vape Won’t Hit
No vapor at all
Charge it for 15 to 20 minutes. If it still does nothing, check that the air intake is not blocked by a sticker or pocket lint.
Blinking light
Usually a low battery. Charge it. If it blinks while charging, try a different cable and port.
Clogged or tight draw
Warm the device in your hand for a minute, then take a few gentle “dry” pulls without inhaling fully. This loosens thick oil. Do not poke anything into the mouthpiece.
Burnt taste
Take shorter draws and give the device a few seconds between pulls. A persistent burnt taste on a new device can be a sign of a counterfeit; see our guide to spotting fake Brix carts.
Still Not Working?
If your device was bought from Brix Carts and is defective out of the box, contact us under our Refund Policy and we will sort it out. Bought it elsewhere? Read Are Brix Carts Real or Fake? before buying again.
Understanding the Smart Display
The High Rise display shows two things that matter: battery level and oil level. Watch the battery reading rather than waiting for the device to stop hitting, and use the oil reading to plan your next order so you are never caught without one. If the display ever shows nothing at all, charge the device before assuming it is faulty.
How Long Does a Brix Disposable Last?
It depends on how often and how long you draw. With 7.1 grams of oil, the High Rise lasts far longer than a one-gram cart or a Brix 2g disposable. Light users may get several weeks from one device; heavier users less. Recharging whenever the light blinks keeps every session strong until the tank is empty.
Etiquette and Safety
- Do not vape where it is prohibited, and be considerate around non-users.
- Never drive or operate machinery after using hemp-derived products.
- Keep devices away from children and pets, and store them out of sight.
- Travel rules differ: many airlines ban vapes in checked luggage, and state laws vary.
When to Replace Your Device
Replace it when the oil window is empty, when the battery no longer holds a charge after a full top-up, or if the device is cracked or leaking. Recycle the battery through an e-waste point instead of the household bin. Ready for another? Compare the two High Rise blends in THCA vs D9P vs HHC.
